About the space innovation hub 

The Borderplex Alliance Foundation is launching a Space Innovation Hub in El Paso with $19.7 million in funding from the State of Texas to create a secure, collaborative environment for public-private research across the space and national security ecosystem. The Hub will serve as a turnkey platform for applied innovation with a focus on AI, cybersecurity, and digital engineering, with programming to support business development and advance dual-use technologies. Through this effort, the Borderplex Alliance is positioning West Texas as a key contributor to Texas’ growing space economy, strengthening the state’s aerospace and defense capacity, reinforcing the nation’s security mission, and driving regional economic impact through high-value research activity, job creation, and downtown revitalization.
